Checking your number's quality and tier

Last updated: 16 July 2026

Your WhatsApp number carries a quality rating (GREEN, YELLOW, or RED) and a messaging tier (TIER_1K up to UNLIMITED), both set by Meta and synced to your number's record in Stravax Engage automatically. If your rating drops to RED, any broadcast running on that number pauses automatically.

What do the quality ratings mean?

Meta assigns your number one of three quality ratings: GREEN, YELLOW, or RED. Stravax Engage receives every change to this rating through Meta's webhooks and updates your number's record right away, with no manual refresh needed. RED is the rating with a direct consequence inside Engage: it automatically pauses any broadcast campaign currently running on that number, and resuming it afterward is a manual step, not automatic. An org-visible flag lets your team see that broadcasts are paused and why.

What is a messaging tier?

Your messaging tier sets your current sending cap on WhatsApp's side, ranging from TIER_1K up through UNLIMITED. Stravax Engage keeps your current tier in sync automatically, and broadcast sending paces itself against your tier's cap so a running campaign does not run into a platform-level sending limit partway through.

Where do I see my rating and tier?

Your quality rating and messaging tier live on your connected number's record in Stravax Engage, next to your other WhatsApp channel details, and update the moment Meta reports a change.

How does an update land on the right number?

Every quality or tier update from Meta is matched to your specific number using its verified phone number ID, falling back to the display number if needed, so an update always lands on the correct number even if your organization has more than one connected.

What if the update looks unfamiliar?

Meta does not publish a complete list of every value these webhooks can send. When Stravax Engage receives something it does not recognize, it logs the raw value but never overwrites your number's existing rating or tier with it, so an unfamiliar update cannot wipe out a known-good state.
