Sign in with Google

Last updated: 16 July 2026

Yes, if your workspace has Google sign-in turned on. It only works for an existing Stravax Engage account: signing in with Google matches your Google account's verified email to your account and signs you in, it never creates a new account or organization by itself. If Google sign-in isn't configured, the button simply isn't shown.

How do I sign in with Google?

  1. On the login screen, click "Sign in with Google." It only appears if your workspace has Google sign-in set up.
  2. Choose your Google account and approve the request.
  3. Stravax Engage checks your Google account's verified email against your existing account. If it matches an active account that already has a password set, you're signed in.
  4. If you have two-factor authentication turned on, you'll still be asked for your code or a backup code afterward. Google replaces the password step only, not your second factor.

What if Google doesn't recognize my account?

Situation What happens
Your Google email doesn't match any account A clean error; no account or organization gets created
Your invite hasn't been accepted yet (no password set) Refused; finish setting up your account first
That email is already linked to a different Google account A conflict error

Why can't I create a new account with Google?

Google sign-in is deliberately sign-in only. It's built to get you into an account that already exists, not to spin up a new one. If nobody has set up your account yet, Google won't do it for you, ask whoever manages your workspace to invite you by email first, see inviting teammates.

How do I link or unlink my Google account?

Link your Google account from Profile while you're already signed in. The link only completes for the account that started it, so you can't accidentally attach your Google login to someone else's session.

Unlinking is also available from Profile, but it's refused if you don't have a password set on your account, since that would leave you with no way to sign in at all. Set a password first if you want to unlink.
