Connect your WhatsApp number

Last updated: 16 July 2026

To connect WhatsApp, open Settings → Channels → WhatsApp & channels and select Connect WhatsApp. This launches Meta's embedded signup flow in a popup: sign in with the Facebook account managing your business, pick or create a WhatsApp Business Account, and choose a phone number. When the popup closes, your number is connected and bound to your inbox.

What do I need before I start?

How do I connect my WhatsApp number?

  1. Open Settings → Channels → WhatsApp & channels.
  2. Select Connect WhatsApp.
  3. In the popup, sign in with the Facebook account that manages your business.
  4. Pick an existing WhatsApp Business Account or create a new one, then choose the phone number to connect.
  5. Complete phone verification inside the embedded signup flow.
  6. Close the popup once it finishes. Your number now appears connected, and the inbox binds to it automatically, no access tokens to copy anywhere.

What if Connect WhatsApp is not showing yet?

One-click connect depends on a configuration Meta approves per app. If it is still pending approval, the WhatsApp & channels screen shows a "setup pending" notice instead of the connect button; your Stravax onboarding contact can connect the number for you in the meantime.

What happens after I connect?

Meta bills your WhatsApp message delivery directly to the payment method on file in your Meta Business Manager. Your Stravax Engage prepaid wallet covers platform usage only, not the WhatsApp message charges themselves.

Once connected, the WhatsApp & channels screen shows your number, its status, its Meta messaging tier, and its quality rating. Broadcast delivery is throttled automatically to respect that messaging tier, so a large send takes longer instead of failing. Keep an eye on quality too: if Meta rates the number RED, broadcasts freeze automatically to protect it.

Can I connect Messenger and Instagram too?

Facebook Pages and linked Instagram accounts connect from the same Channels area and land in the same shared inbox as WhatsApp, once Stravax turns that connect option on for your workspace.
