"Your first 30 minutes: setup checklist"

Last updated: 16 July 2026

To set up Stravax Engage, work through one ordered checklist: connect your WhatsApp number, invite your team, set your auto-replies, create quick replies, sync your message templates, import your contacts, then connect Shopify or your ad accounts if you use them. Each step lives in a specific screen and only takes a couple of minutes.

Step 1: Connect your WhatsApp number

Nothing sends or receives until a number is connected. Go to Settings → Channels → WhatsApp & channels and select Connect WhatsApp to run Meta's embedded signup flow. See Connect your WhatsApp number for the full walkthrough.

Step 2: Invite your team

Go to Settings → Workspace → Team & seats, enter a teammate's email, and pick their role. Agents work the inbox and CRM; admins additionally manage billing, broadcast settings, the AI qualifier, the team and the channel. The invitee gets an email with a secure link and a 6-digit code, verifies their address, and sets their own password, nobody ever sets a password for someone else.

Step 3: Set your auto-replies

Go to Automation → Auto-replies and define your business hours (timezone plus opening and closing times per day), then turn on an away reply for outside those hours and a welcome message for a brand-new conversation's first inbound message. See Auto-replies: away hours and welcome messages.

Step 4: Create quick replies

Go to Settings → Messaging → Quick replies and save the responses your team sends most often, as a shared library everyone can use or as your own private snippets. Pull any of them into the composer with the / shortcut while replying to a conversation. See Quick replies: saved responses.

Step 5: Sync your message templates

Go to Settings → Messaging → Templates. Stravax Engage mirrors the templates approved in your Meta WhatsApp Manager, including status changes, so an admin can select Sync now to pull the latest list, or wait for the nightly sync. Templates matter because outside the 24-hour customer service window, only an approved template can start a WhatsApp conversation. See Message templates: sync, statuses and categories.

Step 6: Import your contacts

Open Contacts and import a CSV of your existing contact list. Map your file's columns to Stravax Engage's fields, run a dry-run preview to see exactly what would import and what would be rejected, then confirm. Every phone number normalizes the same way an inbound WhatsApp message does, so an imported contact and a contact that later messages you in match up as the same person. See CSV import and export.

Step 7: Connect Shopify or your ad accounts, if relevant

If you sell on Shopify, install the Stravax Engage app from your Shopify admin to turn on abandoned-checkout recovery over WhatsApp. If you run ads on Meta, Google or TikTok, open the CRM view's Connections dialog to connect those accounts, so form leads come into the same pipeline and qualified or converted leads sync back as conversion events.
