Embedded Signup connects your WhatsApp number only after Stravax Engage proves two things with Meta directly: that your login can manage the WhatsApp Business Account you picked, and that the phone number actually belongs to it. Signup also fails outright if that number is already connected to a different Stravax Engage workspace.
Before Stravax Engage activates a number, it verifies your Meta login actually grants management and messaging access to the WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) you selected, and that the phone number you're connecting genuinely belongs to that WABA, both checked directly against Meta's own records, never just what your browser sent. If either check fails, signup stops there rather than partially connecting the number, and no half-connected number is left behind for you or anyone else to inherit.
A phone number can only be claimed by one Stravax Engage workspace at a time. If you try to connect a number that's already active on another workspace, signup returns a conflict instead of overwriting it, so one workspace can never silently take over a number another workspace is using.
Running Embedded Signup again for a number your own workspace already owns doesn't create a duplicate connection, it updates that same connection's credentials in place. This is the normal way to refresh a connection, for example after re-authorizing on Meta's side.
Completing signup also subscribes Stravax Engage to your WhatsApp Business Account, which is what lets Meta's webhooks, delivery statuses, and quality-rating changes, reach your account.
